I have spend a lot of time abroad and its from these journeys my material comes from.

I try to form this material into a kind of postcard, that I can show the western world.

Postcards are often defined as a photograph on one side and a story on the other side, where the author have got a small glimpse of a culture and therefor wants to share these observations with people at home. Postcards can often seem superficial, but can also hold a lot of information with few words. My travels often go to non-western countries with my son and wife who works in the development sector. It is when I am home in Denmark, that I sort, curate, conceptualize and produce the works. I see this activity as research of alternative ethnographic material. Its a way to get an insight into other cultures, so I can look closer at my own and put things in perspective.
